To all Trade Unionists and Workers in Boston and District,
The members of the Boston and District Trades Council have, at the invitation of the Chairman of the Boston and Rural District Savings Committee (Coun. H. P. Clark, J.P.) consented to arrange certain events in connection with the programme appertaining to our " Wings for Victory " Week Savings Campaign, in the Borough and Rural District.
We therefore earnestly appeal to all Trade Unionists and Workers to rally around us, so that the activities of those responsible for the arrangements of the events, may be encouraged in their efforts on behalf of the persons referred to above.
It is not our intention to deal in detail with the specific cause which this campaign is being held for, as we are convniced that all our comrades, whether male or female, appreciate the part that has been played in this War by the gallant members of the Royal Air Force.
Many of us have sons or daughters serving in this branch of the services, and many of our young lads have given their lives in battle with the R.A.F., as pilots or members of air-crews, it is therefore our bounden duty to justify their sacrifices, by ensuring that those who are left to carry on the fight are fitted with sufficient and efficient machines to avenge the death of their gallant comrades.
By supporting this campaign, and making certain that Boston and Rural District reach their target this time, we shall at least know that we have played our part in the ultimate defeat of the "Nazi Luftwaffe," who at the commencement of the War, declared that they would blast our Cities and Towns to the ground.
Thanks to the Royal Air Force this declaration has been defeated, and now it is the R.A.F. who is repaying the bombastic " Hitler " with his own coin.
Hail the R.A.F. THE ALLIES RULE THE SKIES.
