I.C.3.
TRADES UNION CONGRESS GENERAL COUNCIL.
INTER-DEPARTMENTAL CORRESPONDENCE
From Dr H.B. Morgan
Department Social Insurance
To Mr H.V. Tewson
Date 2/4/1937.
SUBJECT.
Anaesthesia Apparatus.
I have been in touch with Down Bros. of 21 St. Thomas St., S.E.1. regarding the above. I have asked for a Boyle's apparatus available to give anaesthesia by any of the following:
(a) Nitrous oxide (gas
(b) Oxygen
(c) Ether
(d) Chloroform.
He does not think he can do me one within the price of £50 - £55 but he is sending me two estimates for apparatus & a cylinder supply of the difft. Gases.
He advises (what I confirm) that Great Britain is miles ahead of the Continent re Anaesthesia, & Apparatus, & he advises us to buy the Apparatus in Gt Britain.
H.B. Morgan
