Sir Walter Citrine, K.B.E.,
General Secretary,
The Trades Union Congress,
Transport House, Smith Square,
LONDON, S.W.1.
Dear Sir Walter,
I am enclosing herewith a cheque for £30, which has been contributed by our Branches in response to an appeal sent out by my Executive Council asking for subscriptions for food and clothing for Spain.
I have made the cheque payable to the Trades Union Congress General Council but I am not sure whether this money should not have been forwarded to the International Solidarity Fund. Perhaps you would advise me on this point, because I am anticipating that we will be forwarding further contributions as they are sent to Head Office from our Branches.
Yours faithfully,
John Fletcher.
