Dear Sir,
I am instructed by the Peterborough committee representing 36 Trade Union, Women's and Co-operative bodies to ask you to support the following resolution which we have sent to the Prime Minister
" This committee representing 36 Trade Union, Womens' and Co-operative bodies urges His Majesty's Government to contribute financially towards the cost of the transport to safety of Republican refugees from Spain, on a scale at least as generous as the expenditure of £40,000 incurred in evacuating supporters of General Franco from Spanish Government territory during the earlier months of the war."
Yours sincerely,
L. Gill,
secretary
Peterborough Spanish Relief Committee.
