We have received a communication from Messrs MacAndrews & Co.Ld., London, owners of the s.s. CARPIO to the effect that the vessel in question will now be sailing on Thursday or Friday of this week, instead of on Tuesday. Consequently, we will not be able to let you have our invoices and bill of lading until later this week, in fact, until the vessel has definitely sailed.
Possibly this postponing of the sailing will enable us to place further quantities of milk on board the vessel, and we have again been in touch with our London Grocery Department with a view to obtaining immediate quotations for submission to you. We are of the opinion that a quotation should be in our possession to-morrow or Wednesday, in which event, we will immediately let you have details.
