Dear Comrade Schevenels,
PACKAGES FOR SPANISH REFUGEES IN SOUTH OF FRANCE
We have today received from the Co-operative Wholesale Society information to the effect that they have forwarded a further eight packages of footwear on their steamer C.W.S. "Progress'', which left Liverpool for Rouen yesterday, 15th June.
They inform us that they are forwarding to you a copy of the Bill of Lading and we shall be glad if you will be good enough to arrange for forwarding instructions to be given to the C.W.S. Rouen office.
We regret we are not in a position to inform you of the contents of these packages, but we are making enquiries and as soon as the information comes to hand, we will communicate with you again.
