POSITION OF SPANISH SEAMEN IN GREAT BRITAIN.
I am in receipt of your letter of the 15th instant forwarding a cheque for £80 being a contribution from your Union towards the maintenence of the Spanish seamen stranded in this country.
I have pleasure in enclosing our official receipt for this amount and desire to thank your Union very much indeed for their generous assistance. I can assure you that the money will be earmarked specifically for the maintenance of the Spanish sailors.
