3rd May 1939.
Mr. W. Carrillo,
Dear Comrade Carrillo,
I have your letter of the 2nd May and regret very much that I have overlooked your previous communication asking for an appointment.
As I am extremely busy and my diary is completely full, it will not be possible for me to see you personally but if you will call at these offices on Friday morning next, the 5th inst. at 11 a.m. Mr. Bell, of our International Department will be pleased to have a talk with you.
If this time is not convenient perhaps you will telephone Mr. Bell in order that a mutually convenient time for the appointment can be arranged.
