I write to acknowledge the receipt of your letter (Ref. FEM/MT/603) of yesterday's date, concerning Mr. Gunnar Ebb, about whom I shall have enquiries made at once. I do not know at all the fate of this gentleman, but, according to my knowledge no-one in Finland has been sentenced for participating in the Spanish Civil War. I cannot, therefore, at all believe that Mr. Ebb could have been sentenced for ten years in gaol for participation in that. However, as soon as I have full information, I shall communicate with you again.
