I am very sorry not to have been able to see you to-day; I had hoped to do so chiefly in order to thank you on behalf of Dr. Negrin for the kind interest which you have shown in the case of Rodríguez Vega. I also wanted to make sure that your hint that our friend should take the Clipper as soon as possible to America implies that the British authorities in Lisbon are ready to assist him in this respect. In any case we have sent on the appropriate information to Vega.
