I.C.3.
TRADES UNION CONGRESS GENERAL COUNCIL.
INTER-DEPARTMENTAL CORRESPONDENCE.
From HERBERT TRACEY Department PUBLICITY
To SIR WALTER CITRINE Date November 4, 1936
SUBJECT.
I.F.T.U. PUBLICITY
The attached was passed to me today with the remark that this method of publicity was not the most effective, as few British papers would bother, unless the prints referred to were enclosed, and in any case some of them would not be inclined to pay for prints. A more effective method, if importance is attached to publicity for the Spanish Government would have been to send us the prints for distribution to the press.
I agree & shall tell Schevenels so on Friday C
