MINUTE OF FINANCE AND GENERAL PURPOSES COMMITTEE, 23RD NOVEMBER, 1936.
18. SPANISH SITUATION.
(a) Letter from London Trades Council.
A letter dated 13th November was read from the London Trades Council urging upon the National Council of Labour the need further to bring pressure upon the Government to grant to the Spanish Government and people their international rights. For that purpose it was suggested that a central London demonstration would be of value and would provide the workers of London with an opportunity to show solidarity with the workers of Spain.
IT WAS DECIDED that the letter be reported to the National Council of Labour.
