149. SPAIN:
A letter was read from Mr Fenner Brockway regarding the forthcoming trial of the P.O.U.M. prisoners, and urging that representation should be made to the Spanish Government.
Mr. Gillies reported that enquiries had been made of the Labour and Socialist International, but no definite information
was forthcoming, and it was
RESOLVED: "That Messrs Middleton and Tewson should seek an interview with Senor Azcarate y Florez, the Spanish Ambassador."
