Messrs. Middleton and Tewson reported upon their interview with Senor Azcarate y Florez, the Spanish Ambassador, regarding the trial of the P.O.U.M. prisoners, when they had been assured that the principles of elementary justice would be observed.
The desire of the National Council that the interests of the Spanish Government should not be prejudiced in other countries was fully appreciated and had been conveyed to the Spanish Prime Minister. Received.
