On the 2nd FEBRUARY
Figueras was bombed. Instead of having to attend to wounded soldiers, we found the dressing room full of wounded children, brought in by their mothers or by people who had picked them up in the streets. There were about 20 children who had their hands blown off, or their faces shattered, or the front of their bodies injured. Those who brought them in told us that the Fascists were throwing from the air small parcels that looked like chocolate boxes or cigarette boxes. The children had rushed to pick them up; when opened they had exploded in their faces, and had caused serious wounds.

There are moves to "recognise" the author and instigator of these horrors.
THIS MUST NOT BE
It would mean not only the condoning of such atrocious acts, but also the blockade of Central Spain.
Difficult as it is now to get our medical supplies and food out to Spanish Government territory, it will be almost impossible if Franco is "recognised."
