Monsignor V. Elwes,
Archbishop's House,
WESTMINSTER, S.W.1.
Dear Monsignor Elwes,
I am just writing to inform you that I have not been able to do what the Archbishop wanted me to do almost immediately, but I have taken the necessary preliminary steps. Sir Walter was away in Paris for a considerable part of last week.
I will be glad if you will convey my compliments to the Archbishop and say that I will do everything I possibly can to expedite the meeting he suggested.
With the Compliments of the Season.
Yours sincerely,
H.B.M.
