15th February, 1939.
Dear Mr. Tewson,
I am returning the cheque which you have sent for Senor F. Omegna of the Worthing Committee as the sum due for 1938 for the upkeep of the Basque child in the Worthing Home is £26. Senor Omegna has been in touch with our Women's Section responsible for the adoption of this child, and the Women's Section would like the balance of £11.7. 4d placed to the ordinary Spanish relief. They have now arranged to send their weekly contribution of 10/- direct to the Home.
Could you therefore substitute for this cheque one for £26 which I will pass on to Senor Omegna ?
Yours sincerely,
Mary E. Sutherland
Chief Woman Officer.
