Transcript	Extract from Minutes of Meeting of the National Council of Labour. 26th October, 1943. 42. BASQUE CHILDREN FUND: Mr. Tewson reported that there were still dependent on this Fund, which had been initiated in 1937, 400 orphan children, and a request had been made for a further grant for their support. The General Council had agreed that a sum of £300 should be forwarded from the International Solidarity Fund, on the understanding that this would be the final grant.
