UGT GENERAL WORKERS' UNION OF SPAIN
Delegation in Great Britain
ADDRESS : PADDINGTON TRADES COUNCIL. 494 HARROW ROAD, LONDON, W.9
Sir Walter Citrine, General Secretary of the T.U.C.,
Transport House,
Smith Square, S.W.I.
3rd September, 1942
Comrade Secretary General,
The Delegation of the General Workers' Union of Spain in Great Britain, representing the General Workers' Union of Spain resident in Mexico, salutes the comrades of the British Trades Unions on the occasion of the opening of their Seventy-fourth Congress and applauds their efforts to attain the triumph of the allied arms against Fascism.
We, the Spanish workers, greet the millions of young trades-unionists who have flocked into the army, and the other millions striving in factories, mines, transport, to speed the production of the necessary war material for the various fronts. We are convinced that from the deliberations of your Congress they will derive strength to aid their struggle for the defeat of Hitlerism, and we are confident that from your discussions will emerge the key to final Victory.
Yours fraternally,
