Spanish Med. Aid Cttee
23rd January, 1937.
Captain J.R. White,
8, Torrington Square,
I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 7th inst., and thank you very much for the cuttings from the "New Leader", which I read with great interest.
I have nothing to add to my former letter, and regret that you do not agree that you were apparently under a misapprehension with regard to certain observations at my interview with you.
I have no personal interest or animosity in anything concerning you, and I, personally, would not condone any manner of discourtesy to you. I was under the impression that you had been informed as to the reason why the Second Unit was not proceeded with.
You may rest assured that I intend to act straightforwardly in the future as I have done in the past.
