Dear Mr. Connolly,
Your letter of the 11th April last, enclosing a sum of one guinea for the Spanish Medical Aid Committee in response to the appeal made in the " Daily Herald " has been passed on to me for special reply, as you addressed it to me personally at the Spanish Medical Aid Committee.
I am glad that you received your War Pension as a result of any work I did in connection with your claim. If I remember rightly it was done in conjunction with Mr. Wallace. I am very pleased that you have been successful.
Thank you for your subscription to the Spanish Cause, and you need never trouble about any question of gratitude to me. I will always be very pleased to do anything of the kind.
Spanish Medical Aid Committee.
