SPAIN SENDS GREETINGS
To Sir Daniel Stevenson
THE Editor of " The Bulletin " has received the following letter from Sir D.M. Stevenson, Bt. :—
" I should feel greatly obliged if you would kindly allow me through your columns to thank the many friends who have sent congratulations and good wishes on this my 86th anniversary.
" I appreciate very specially the following telegram of this morning from the Secretary-General of the Spanish Republic, Valencia :—
" On the occasion of the anniversary of your birthday please receive the cordial felicitations of the President of the Republic, as well as my own and those of all Spaniards who know you and are grateful for your cultural work among us these many years and for the humanitarian labours carried on during the war by the Scottish ambulances, led by Miss Jacobsen.
