Dear Sir Walter,
I sent a begging letter to the press the other day. If you happen to have seen it you will understand how thankful I am to receive this forenoon your letter dated 13th instant and your handsome cheque of £500 for the above Unit. I hope it means that the tide has turned and that contributions will again flow in regularly as they did up till July. In any case, the Committee and I are most grateful.
With kind regards,
Sir Walter Citrine, K.B.E.,
