FROM THE MINISTER OF PRODUCTION
Capt. the Rt. Hon. Oliver Lyttelton, D.S.O., M.C. M.P.
We have mobilised our men and women for the Armed Forces and for Industry. We have mobilised and must continue to mobilise our money by savings and put it into the line of battle. We must learn to lend to the Government everything which is not spent on the family budget. I particularly ask employers and more especially those engaged in war industries to be sure that they are providing complete facilities for saving in their works and are doing all that they can to encourage the war savings campaign.
I know that I shall not appeal to the workers in vain to make use of these facilities and to save regularly to the utmost of their capacity. By so doing they will help on the war and give themselves a nest egg for after the war.
