A PLEA FOR A NATIONAL POLICY
LONDON : MACMILLAN & CO. LTD.
Mr. Baldwin, in a speech on the eve of the reassembly of Parliament said:
"We have passed into an entirely new economic system, the end of which no man can see."
In Reconstruction Mr. Macmillan elaborates and develops the proposals already associated with his name in the last session of Parliament. He presents a picture of the next stage, as he sees it, in the construction of the new economic and social order. His views are not purely theoretical. They arise out of his business experiences as Managing Director of Macmillan & Co. Ltd., Director of the Monotype Corporation, Ltd., the Great Western Railway, etc.
