LING'S SWEDISH SYSTEM.

The object of the College is to train Students to enable them to become teachers of Gymnastics and Games in Schools.
The Course of Training extends over two years, and includes the Theory and Practice of Gymnastics on the Swedish System, Massage and Medical Gymnastics. Anatomy, Physiology and Hygiene, Dancing, Lacrosse, Lawn-tennis, Hockey, and Cricket.
An educational centre like Bedford affords special facilities for practice in Teaching and professional coaching in Games. Swimming and Boating in the summer.
There is an increasing demand for Teachers thoroughly trained on this system.

THE training is modelled on that obtainable in Sweden. The Year's Course includes Massage — Medical Gymnastics - Theory of Movement - Anatomy - Physiology - Hygiene - First Aid - Home Nursing - Splinting and Bandaging and the necessary knowledge of those medical and surgical diseases which are treated by Massage and Medical Gymnastics.
The students have six months' practical work and instruction in the inpatient, outpatient and orthopaedic departments at Charing Cross Hospital under direct medical supervision. The Anatomy is taught by doctors, and includes practical demonstration in the dissecting room.
For those holding the certificate of the recognised physical training colleges, a six months' course has been arranged. This includes, as well as the above subjects, private tuition at 52, South Street, in medical electricity (cataphoresis, etc.) and in the giving of special baths (Schnee's four cell-Radiant Heat, Hot Air, Nauheim, etc)
Fee for the course, 50 guineas. Fee for post graduate course, 40 guineas.
