Dear Sir Walter,
Your letter received this morning is rather a cold douche, but I suppose quite seasonable as chill October is approaching!
You say you have already sent away all your available money. This does not terrify me in the least. The Scottish Ambulance Unit in Spain has been maintained for fully two years on that "faith which is the substance of things hoped for." I am quite willing to take a promise, knowing that you have our welfare at heart.
In a parcel received yesterday from Spain I find a few copies of " Despues ", the Review of the Spanish R.A.M.C. They have very handsomely given their centre pages to a eulogy of the Scottish Ambulance Unit in Spain.
With kind regards, I am,
Yours sincerely,
D.M. Stevenson
