Dr. L. Hayden Guest,
Leverhulme Research Fellowships,
MEDICAL RED CROSS WORK IN SPAIN.
I have been asked by Sir Walter Citrine to express his appreciation of your letter of the 4th instant.
He has only been in the office a very short while and has had to dash off again.
You will probably be aware that a Spanish Medical Relief Committee has been formed and we have seen representatives of that body.
The report we have received up to now is that there is no necessity for medicaments or medical services. This opinion has been expressed in a further letter we have received this morning, but the Spanish Embassy in Paris are taking up the matter with Madrid in order to ascertain their definite opinion.
