Dear Mr. Button, DONATION TO INTERNATIONAL BRIGADE DEPENDENTS AND WOUNDED AID COMMITTEE. I am in receipt of your letter of the 6th instant enclosing a donation to the above Committee. I am afraid an endorsement for the cheque as you have made it out could not be made by us and in any case I think it would be preferable to send it direct to:- Mrs. Charlotte Haldane, 1, Litchfield Street, London, W.C.2. Under the circumstances I am, therefore, returning your cheque. Yours sincerely, Assistant Secretary. Cheque.
