Dear Sir,
The Spanish tragedy which has upset the world has greatly affected every democrat and humanitarian. Whatever our political and philosophical opinions, we admired the international brigade who set off to serve the spanish Republic and Democracy.
We believe that to-day, these men suffering both in mind and body have a claim to our sympathy and to our complete solidarity.
An aid-comittee has been set up to call humanitarians and to collect the huge sums necessary in order to help these heroes you will find enclosed a pathetic and stirring appeal from Colonels VINCENT and NICOLETIS and signed by well known personalities.
Aware of your deeps humanitarian feelings, we are certain that you will hear our urgent appeal.
