Dear Dr. Brook,
BRITISH MEDICAL UNIT.
Referring to my letter of the 11th instant I have now received a statement of accounts from Mr. Schevenels in respect of expenses contracted on behalf of the British Medical Unit in France.  I should be glad if you could let me have an official receipt for £1,102 in order that I may, in due course, forward it to Mr. Schevenels.
I have received your official receipt for the last grant of £500 and if you will now forward me an official receipt in respect of the first grant of £250 I shall then hold receipts for the sum of £1,852, which is the total sum paid to you or paid on your behalf to date.
I shall be glad to receive the two receipts mentioned above at your earliest convenience.
