May I refer to the generous grant of £1000 promised by the Joint International Committee in November. Of this we have received £500, which has long since been expended on the medical supplies constantly needed. The enclosed Bulletin recently issued will give you some indication of our present activities and needs.
At the moment our financial position is rather serious. We have in the Bank a balance of £1880, of which £1067 is tied up in Bank  Guarantees in respect of Vehicle Triptyques. We owe for various supplies about £1700, plus a further £1100 which will be due at the end of the month as the balance of the payment for four  ambulances we have on order. We should therefore be very pleased to receive the remaining £500, which we would find extremely useful.
