The General Secretary
Trades Union Congress
London.
Dear Comrade,
I have been instructed by the above Branch to request the T.U.C. to use their utmost endeavours to assist the former members of the International Brigade now interned in France to be allowed to go to Mexico who are willing to receive them. This in particular for those members who are of Enemy Origin and are in danger of being handed over to the Gestapo, and Ovra.
This must be done through the agency of the United States, and it the earnest hope of this Branch that the T.U.C. will utilise this channel for the relief of those who so gallantly fought against Fascism when it first reared its ugly head.
