Spanish Medical Aid Committee (draft report)

SPANISH MEDICAL AID COMMITTEE.
The Committee, having heard the report of their Chairman and Secretary as to their interview, with its rather severe cross-examination, on Wednesday, the 4th inst. — at Transport House, Smith Square, London, S.W.1, at 3.15 p.m. — with representatives of the National Council of Labour, beg to express their thanks and reiterate their confidence in their voluntary officers for the excellent work so far undertaken, and performed, and the meritorious way in which the responsibility of the Committee has been met. All the officers have worked with the cognisance and approval of the Committee, and action taken under delegated plenipotentiary powers have always been subsequently endorsed.
The Committee RESOLVES that representation should be made to the National [Joint] Council of Labour in the following terms:
The first Unit. This Unit, for propaganda and appeal purposes, and with the motive of quick humanitarian relief, had to be speedily organised and equipped. The great labour, involving onerous responsibility and grave decisions, was performed in a way which brought unsought for priase from various sources. Care was taken in the choice and selection of personnel, equipment, and organisation. Since its arrival in Spain this Field Hospital Unit of the Spanish Medical Aid Committee has been stationed at the village of Granen near Huesca on the Aragon front [in]
