Murgatroyd, Yorkshire Warp-Twisters Society, Textile Hall Westgate, Bradford Dear Mr. Murgatroyd, INTERNATIONAL BRIGADE ASSOCIATION Thank you for your letter of the 13th instant stating that you have received a circular from the International Brigade Association requesting your Society to approach us to enlist our support on their behalf. Our General Council have not in mind any action on this matter: it may serve the position if I attach herewith an extract from Hansard for 1st October 1941. The proposals in the appeal which has been circularised by the International Brigade Association presuppose relationships between the Governments in question on a very much more cordial plane than existed last Autumn.
