A.E.U. raising �50,000
Members of the A.E.U.�and many others�will be interested in the proceedings of the A.E.U. National Committee at Morecambe when it was decided to raise �50,000 by a voluntary levy of 1s. a month for the purchase of lorries for the Spanish Government.
Pending a fuller report, we print below an extract from the Manchester Guardian of June 4th. In addition you will find below the full text of the Appeal issued by Voluntary Industrial Aid, which the Standing Orders Committee of the Conference circulated to the Delegates.
This action of the A.E.U. has already been widely reported in Spain. Voluntary Industrial Aid for Spain will be glad to hear from other organisations and individuals who contemplate similar action.
