Mr. J. Pole,
Labour Spain Committee,
24, Lupton Street,
London, N.W.5.
Dear Mr. Pole,
GOODS FOR SPAIN.
I have your letter of the 10th instant, the contents of which noted.
As soon as we hear that the goods have been received in Spain a statement will appear in the "Daily Herald" and reference will be made to your contribution.
Probably when the balance of your fund reaches £1,000 you will forward a cheque for that amount which will go to swell the next consignment we dispatch. The contents of this will be determined as soon as we receive a report from the representative of the Fund who went to Spain last Friday and will soon be returning. We know, of course, that anything we can send is badly needed, but as the consignments through our Fund are very large we like to have guidance in regard to the proportions to be spent on the various staple commodities.
Yours sincerely,
Assistant Secretary.
