Proposed Meeting of Committee:
I would confirm our telephone conversation of this morning, when I informed you that the meeting had been definitely fixed for 10.30 on Friday next, in the offices of the CGT at 211 rue Lafayette (to which effect I had earlier this morning already sent you a telegram).
I would also like to make quite clear what I said on the  'phone to-day about the expenditure made out of the sum put at the direct disposal of the International Solidarity Fund by National Centres. This expenditure has up till now been as follows:
50,000 Belgian francs in anti-tetanic and anti-gangrene serum;
50,000     "      " for food sent direct from Antwerp on a Spanish ship and paid for out of our Fund;
50,000     "      " for one million cigarettes for the workers' militia.
As I told you on the telephone, a very large amount of serum has been sent by the CGT out of the funds it collected, but of which it only transmitted 50,000 French francs to the International Solidarity Fund,  the remainder being expended on its own initiative;  we were merely asked by the CGT to include in our lists the amounts it has collected
