Mr. F. Adler,
The Labour and Socialist International,
162 Rue de Laeken,
BRUSSELS.
Dear Mr. Adler,
INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY FUND.
In the absence of Mr. Schevenels I am writing to inform you of the state of the fund in this country. At the moment the money raised totals £9,564, in audition to which £2,981 has been received on behalf of the International Fund from America. I understand that a further 10,000 dollars is on its way from America.
Mr. Schevenels has already been acquainted with the fact that £5,000 has been transferred to Account M.I.18 D. in a London Bank which can be drawn on as necessary, and I am to-day having a further £5,000 transferred, making a total of £10,000. I am enclosing a statement of how these amounts are made up.
I have informed Mr. Stoltz of the further amount paid to the credit of their Account in London and have forwarded to him the Bank's receipt for this amount. Although Mr. Schevenels has left for America Mr. Stoltz can make arrangements for the release of money required.
Yours sincerely,
General Secretary.
