Dear Sirs,
As requested in your letter of the 10th instant, we have pleasure in attaching hereto, pro forma invoice amounting to £1,712.10. 0. in respect of 750 tons potatoes which we intend to ship next week from Garston to Rouen by s.s. CWS PROGRESS, which you will doubtless find in order.
Whilst we have, of course, ordered 750 tons from the Potato Marketing Board,  it is possible that the actual quantity may be slightly below or slightly in excess of this quantity, and we will pass you credit or further debit to adjust upon receipt of final outturn weights from the suppliers.
Owing to the recent experience in connection with French carriage charges on the last consignment sent forward to Barcelona, it is possible that a charge will be preferred against us for rail costs from Rouen to Cerbere in respect of the present shipment, but we cannot, of course, submit our invoice for this until information is to hand from Rouen.
