Mr. H.V. Tewson,
Assistant Secretary,
The Trades Union Congress,
Transport House,
Smith Square,
London, S.W.1.
Dear Mr. Tewson,
I have been advised by the Aberdeen Trades Council and Burgh Labour Party that they have four tons of food stuffs which they desire shipped to Spain. On enquiry I learn the contents are as follows. -
3 bags flour
4 large tins Honey
1 small barrel lard
the remainder being made up as under
40% tinned food stuff - mostly milk;
40% soap
20% clothing.
As we have no cargo going at the moment I am wondering if you could suggest any depot to which the consignment might be sent with a view to shipment to Spain.
Yours faithfully,
William Elger,
Secretary.
