Mr. Tewson,
Assistant Secretary,
Trades Union Congress,
Transport House,
Smith Square,
S.W.1.
Dear Mr. Tewson,
I have visited several firms who are going to give me a quotation for job clothing but the holidays will cause some delay.
Charles Williams have offered 200 suits or overcoats at £100 in addition to a free parcel they are sending to Leeds.
I will await your instructions regarding this offer.
This firm is one of the firms who supply Pontings with clothing. The clothing will be cheap but new as the firm will cut up ends of cloth they have in stock.
I have just got an offer of 154 jackets, 22 trousers, and about 5 suits, (These items free - 36 divided skirts or trousers, 31 linen shorts for £93 from Louis Londons.) I may get them at a round figure.
Polikoffs offer 110 Sports Coats and 110 Flannel trousers for £100.
These are a much better quality and are good value.
Where is the clothing you purchase to be delivered to?
