Transcript	HVT 184 Battlefield Rd Langside Glasgow H.V.T./FC/598 Mr Hewson War Work - Rates of Wages Dear Sir, Your note of 21st inst regarding a telegram received from Cornwall, New Zealand relating to the above subject I have to acknowledge. Unfortunately I shall not be able to come to London before leaving this country. My interpretation of the telegram is that the Federation of Labour of New Zealand wishes to have an approximate estimate of the rates of wages and overtime paid in the trades mentioned. I have investigated the rates paid in these trades in Glasgow district and find what you say to be correct. It would be impossible to give details of wages in the various trades. But I think an approximate estimate or percentage would suffice
