Dear Sirs,
We beg to make further reference to our letter of the 15th instant, and yours of the same date, respecting goods you desire us to sent forward to Spain via Rouen-Cerbere. As already indicated, we are making arrangements to have the goods shipped by a steamer from Garston on the 26th instant, and shall be glad to have your marking instructions as early as possible, so that we may proceed with the issue of shipping instructions.
In regard to your order for Wool, we beg to advise having despatched to you, under separate cover, samples of two qualities, Target and Beacon, which we are offering against the quality AX mentioned in your letter. Beacon is a 4 ply soft knitting in 3-lb bundles, and we offer at the price of 3/1 per lb. The Target quality is available in 3 and 4 ply, (fingering wool) in 1-lb bundles at 3/6 per lb. We have not yet located the AX quality, but are endeavouring to trace same. Meanwhile, however, it is possible that you will prefer one of the qualities above mentioned, in which event, we shall be glad of your instructions at your earliest convenience.
You will be pleased to learn that we have been successful in booking the Dried Cod at the price of 32/6 per bale against the price of 33/- quoted. We
