Mr. BELL, Assistant secretary of the International Department
T.U.C. General Council,
Smith Square,
LONDON, S.W.1.
Dear Mr. Bell,
With reference with the interview our General Secretary, Mr. W.G. Spiekman, had the pleasure to have with you during the last month of August, we should feel very obliged to you if you could tell us, even approximatively, to what extent our affiliated unions of commercial, clerical and technical employees in Great Britain participated to the relief supplied to Spain by the British T.U.C.
We looked after such indications in your General Council's Report to the 70th Annual Congress but we were unable to find anything of that kind.
Our affiliated Unions in Spain urge us to send them relief and we want to state in our reply to them what our affiliated Unions in the other countries already made in that direction. We therefore should appreciate an early reply to our request, for which we thank you very much in advance.
With best regards,
Yours fraternally,
W Spiekman
General Secretary.
P.S. Please find enclosed, for your orientation, a list of our affiliated Unions in your country.
