Very many thanks for your letter of the 15th instant, together with cheque, value £5,000, as a donation to the above fund, our official receipt for which I have pleasure in enclosing herewith.
Kindly convey to your Executive our very best thanks for their generous assistance. This is a record contribution and it will be reported both to the General Council at their next meeting and also to the National Council of Labour who I am sure will be intensely gratified with the result of the steps taken by the Federation to render effective help in the relief work in Spain.
