GOODS FOR SPAIN
Following upon the visit of Santiago here, we learned that their immediate requirements were milk, cod, soap and shoes, and we have now made arrangements with the Co-operative Wholesale Society to forward the following goods:
500 50 kilo Parchment Paper lined cases, Dutch Full Cream Dried Milkpowder, Roller Process, 24% Butterfat, at the price of 48/6d per case, to be delivered from Amsterdam, on Wednesday.
500 bales Dried Cod at 31/6d per bale.
2½ tons Carbolic Soap )
7½ " Yellow (Pale) Soap ) 21/- per cwt.
These goods are to be forwarded by the S.S. "C.W.S.Progress" from Liverpool to Rouen on Wednesday next, 22nd instant. Arrangements are being made with the C.W.S. Rouen depot to forward the goods over land to Spain via Cerbere, at which point we will have them consigned to Mr. Calvert, Customs Agent, who will then arrange their despatch to ultimate destination.
