Many thanks for your letter of the 3rd instant, together with the notes which I am very pleased to have. I notice that in your notes on the work of the International Solidarity Fund you have asked representatives in Spain to send their reports to me, and whilst we shall at all times be pleased to hear how things are progressing from an international point of view, it will be understood that the report should come to us through Mr. Schevenels in Paris. I may say that I am sending to Mr. Schevenels a copy of your notes in regard to this matter. Yours sincerely, Assistant Secretary.
