Dear Mr. Winstanley,
FOODSTUFFS FOR SPAIN
In regard to the sugar, meat cubes, etc. which still have to be sent to Spain I have now been in touch with Mr. Schevenels of the International Solidarity Fund in Paris and find that a regular transport service has been organised from Le Havre to Barcelona and Valencia.
I should be glad therefore, if you would make arrangements for the following consignment to be shipped to Le Havre, assigned to Edouard Aget, 101, Boulevard Strasbourg, Le Havre, by an early boat:-
£1,500 worth of sugar.
500 " " flour.
200 " " rice.
100 " " lentils.
100 " " meat cubes.
100 " " cocoa.
100, " " soap (half Household, and half Carbolic).
The above amounts are approximate and will vary slightly one way or the other according to the round figures of weight sent.
I would make it clear that this order is in place of the goods outstanding on our previous order.
