Further to my letter of the 9th July, I write to advise you that the subject matter of yours of the 5th, together with that of the letter which you circularised to the British Unions affiliated to the International Transport-workers' Federation regarding the maintenance of Spanish Seamen still remaining in the British Isles, was duly considered by the Board of Direction of the International Mercantile Marine Officers' Association at their Meeting last night.
On behalf of the International organisation, I am asked to advise you that in view of the very considerable calls which have been made during recent months on their finances, and together with the fact that the International has made grants reaching the maximum amount as agreed by the last conference of the International
